Scott Glazier represents business entities of all sizes ranging from start-up companies and small businesses to multi-million dollar companies doing business on a national and international basis. Scott advises and counsels clients on a wide variety of legal matters including formations and incorporations, acquisitions, general corporate and contract matters, financings, asset and stock sales and purchases, mergers, employee benefit and incentive plans, federal and state taxation, healthcare law, and real estate matters. He also advises individuals on business succession, estate planning, and probate law.

Scott’s practice philosophy is to be both legal counsel and business adviser. His approach to most legal issues is first to consider the risks and liability to the client, next to evaluate the issue from an economic standpoint and finally to attack the problem or issue from a technical viewpoint. Scott’s goal is to communicate with clients on clear and understandable terms without attempting to impress the client with “legalese” or obscure legal references.

Scott has represented clients in several significant transactions, including:

  • Merger of national wound care company with a competitor via a private equity fund
  • Joint-venture for the construction of a $240 million manufacturing plant
  • Various private placement securities offerings ranging in size from $500,000 to $5,000,000
  • Joint venture between a hospital and physician group involving diagnostic cardiology
  • Formations of a Surgical Center and an MRI Clinic (and its subsequent sale)

Scott received a B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Florida in 1981, and a J.D. from Stetson College of Law in 1985, where he was the Notes Editor for the Stetson Law Review from 1984-1985.

Scott is an active member of the Florida Bar Association, the Jacksonville Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association and the Small Business Resource Network (Steering Committee Member). He currently serves on the Florida Bar’s Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee and is Chair of the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Transactional Law Committee (2012-2013). He began his legal career as an associate for Brant, Moore, Sapp, Macdonald, and Wells, P.A. in 1985, and became a partner in 1991. In late 1999, Scott and his wife Cynthia Glazier joined their practices to form Glazier & Glazier, P.A., which became Glazier, Glazier & Dietrich, P.A. in 2020. Scott is a past Co-Chairman of The First Tee of Jacksonville and has served on its Board of Directors since 2009.
